Young, Vibrant and Passionate! Olebile Pungie Joseph is a motivated, personable business professional with more than 8 years’ experience as a project management consultant and project controls specialist.
A passionate PMI volunteer, result oriented and great team player, she volunteered for the Botswana Chapter formation in 2015 as the Chapter Secretary. Ms. Joseph additionally has gained the required PMI global volunteer exposure and leadership qualities by attending the PMI Leadership Institute Meetings held previously at Ghana, Germany, Italy, and Tanzania. A proponate of everything project management, project controls and Agile; Pungie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 Practitioner, and RICS Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Project and Logistics Management from the University of Botswana. Pungie’s current key motivation and interest is on the integration of data analytics and project management to effectively improve projects management discipline and standards. In her spare time she enjoys working in the garden, reading and travel.
Michelle Lame Rapotsanyane is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds the VP Professional Development position in the PMI Botswana Chapter. Career wise, she has been involved in construction projects from 2005 to date with emphasis on the implementation of Water Infrastructure Projects.
Her career has evolved from being a Project Manager to Project Controls and she is currently assigned the role of Projects Controls Manager for the Programme Management Office (PMO) in the Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services (MLWS). Her main responsibility is to ensure that Project Controls are implemented on all projects in the MLWS Portfolio. Further to that, her portfolio offers assistance to Government entities including Parastatals on all things Project Management. Michelle cut her teeth in construction on the construction of Ntimbale Dam as an Assistant Resident Engineer seconded to Knight Piesold Consulting. She was later assigned as Project Manager on the Lotsane Dam project which she successfully completed in 2015. The project provides potable water to 22 villages in the Tswapong North Area. In advancing Project Management in Botswana, Michelle was part of a team that successfully set up a PMO with the then Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources (MMEWR) in 2012. This was one of the founding PMO’s within the Government of Botswana and set the tone for all Ministry’s. The then MMEWR PMO successfully completed multi million and billion pula projects in the Water and Energy Sectors. Michelle holds an MSc in Water and Environmental Management from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. Her first degree, a BSc Environmental Science majoring in Hydrology was acquired from the University of Botswana in 2001. She has recently initiated the process towards a PhD in Project Management with the University of Botswana. When she does get a minute to herself, Michelle enjoys consuming writings by African writers notably, Ben Okri.
Kabelo C. Nkhisang He is a seasoned project manager with experience cutting across different sectors and industries both locally and internationally and has a proven track record having managed and delivered multi-million pula projects successfully. He currently works for Turner & Townsend as a senior project manager and also serves as the Vice President Finance for the Project Management Institute Botswana Chapter. Prior to assuming the aforementioned roles, he was the Head of Facilities Management for G4S Botswana.
His experience is not only limited to projects but has worked in the operations environments for Kgalagadi Breweries Ltd, a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc for more than 6 yrs. He started off as a project manager heading the project management office charged with contributing towards the company’s strategic growth in terms of the roll-out of projects that increases the company’s marketing, distribution channels and footprint. He subsequently served as a plant manager heading the Francistown Brewery where he was providing management and leadership capabilities to one of two opaque breweries located in Botswana. He has also worked for project management and quantity surveying consultants in Botswana (TNT Partnership) and in England (Arcadis-AYH). He was a founding director of Tinho Excel Consult, a consultant company that provides project management, quantity surveying, contract administration and construction management services. In addition the company provides training in the above fields. He also doubles up as a director for Cytex Technologies, a pharmaceuticals supplier and service provision company. Kabelo holds an MBA Degree, with his first degrees being BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Construction Commercial Management acquired from Nottingham Trent University in UK. He also holds a Diploma in Professional Practice from the same university and is currently pursuing a PhD in Project Management. In addition to these qualifications, Kabelo has been accredited amongst others as a Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 certified practitioner and also as a certified trainer for project management, construction management and contract administration. Furthermore he is a professionally registered quantity surveyor (PrQS) with the Quantity Surveyor’s Registration Council and is also a member of Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors. In his spare time and when he is not writing in the third person, Kabelo enjoys the odd kickabout in the park with friends on a Sunday afternoon.
Uzoma (PMP) is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various business sectors and the founder of Kobeth Investments (Pty) Limited.His experience spans over 16 years across the built environment (Real estate and Construction sectors), Telecommunications sector and international procurement activities.
He grew from the ranks holding various positions in different countries such as Project – Facilities Engineer with Airtel Nigeria, Project-Facilities Manager (Head of Property Division) with Dys Trocca Valsesia & Co. Ltd (Lagos Nigeria), Chief Operating Officer (Property & Asset Management Limited). He is responsible for managing RDC Properties Limited’s (Listed on the BSE) Botswana portfolio worth approximately P1.5B excluding other properties owned by various subsidiaries of the Realestate Group of companies and others. Uzoma’s primary responsibility includes managing the entire real estate development process for new property development projects for the group (concept, definition, planning, implementation, completion and post completion management phases). He holds an MSc. in Construction Project Management from Loughborough University UK, MBA from University of Nicosia Cyprus, B.Eng in Civil Engineering from FUTO Nigeria and Commercial real Estate Certificate qualification from Cornell University USA. Amongst other professional qualifications, he is a Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor (MRICS) and Facilities Management Professional (FMP) which goes a long way to buttress his competence in the built environment. He is also a member of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana (REIB) and Business Botswana amongst other professional organizations. His passion lies in providing an all-encompassing good quality service while working towards boosting growth and improvement of lives in his host communities.
Jones is the Vice President Membership for the PMI Botswana Chapter. Senior Project Management Consultant with an engineering background.
He has accumulated extensive experience in Engineering, Mining, Construction and Project management which spans back to year 1996. He has been exposed to different projects environment, supported and successfully executed a diverse portfolio of projects. He is currently working for Innolead consultants and is seconded to Debswana Diamond Company since 2013 to be part of project controls team that has successfully delivered concept study, prefeasibility, feasibility and preparatory works and currently on implementation phase for Jwaneng Mine Cut 9 project. Jones started his career as a plant engineer for Coca-Cola Bottling Plant (Southern Bottlers) in Malawi, Engineering Workshop Manager for Okavango Steel Works, Mechanical Engineer and Services coordinator for Murray & Roberts. Jones Holds BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malawi and accredited as a Project Management Professional (PMP). In additional to Professional career, Jones is a business entrepreneur and a leader. He is the President of Society of Malawian in Botswana.
Is a certified Project and Programme Professional with a number of International Bodies including PMI, APMG, AXELOS and PeopleCert.
He has consulted, deployed project delivery capabilities and trained project management in Industries including but not limited to Government, State-Owned Entities, Military and Mining. Okitanye is an executive director at Innolead Consulting, a leading consultancy in Botswana in the fields of Strategy, Portfolio, Programme and Project Management and Project Controls. He has a passion for organisational attainment of business excellence and has been involved with MEGA projects from Ideation, through option analysis, feasibility and construction phases.
Zibani Kgatlhego is VP Volunteering for the PMI Botswana Chapter. A self-motivated professional with a drive for creativity and promotional initiative, Zibani holds is qualified with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and MSc in Project Management.
He is a strategic program manager with over Ten years of experience and expertise in overseeing monitoring, evaluation and projects implementation. He has a proven record of managing program life cycle from inception through integration, planning and verification via requirements based execution, quantitative risk management, and formal change management techniques. Zibani has exceptional ability to lead cross – functional teams in order to identify program capabilities, assess resources, and collaborative with personnel ensuring projects delivered on time and within scope of budget.
